I bought this band for my second pregnancy and c-sec. I bought the small size and a day post surgery it did not fit but the following day I squeezed myself into and it am so happy I did. I am 5’8″ and have a moderatly long torso. The relief from the pressure on my incision was amazing, I was able to “reduce” my pain meds. I have been wearing it mostly during the long day hours and it is now 6 days post delivery and I only have an inch left of the large velco area. My stomach is definitely half the size it was on delivery day and I can even see stomach muscle definition on the upper part of my stomach. The support to my back and incision area would be enough to make me happy to have spent so much on it. Yes, it is bunching in the middle but I move around so much, that is to be expected. I am going to buy the x-small size today. I plan on giving the small to a friend who is due in a week. I will update my review when I get through the x-small. Oh, and the only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5, is the price.

Not impressed by the BellyBandit! I have a small waist and wide hips, and this slides up my abdomen if I move at all, not staying in place and compressing my stomach where it counts. I had a c-section and when sitting the edge would put pressure directly on my incision area. I wish it had stayed put because I loved the support for the first 10 seconds. There are definitely better products out there for less.

I had purchased a medium belt prior to delivery but discovered it was too big soon after I had my son. I therefore bought a smaller size. I have been faithfully wearing the band day and night and am now 5 weeks post-partum and the results are not what I have seen advertised. I personally think that the band was a better back support than it was an abdominal binder. I am not sure the compressions were as effective in reducing my abs as the ads suggested. But then again, everyone is different and my results could be on the other end of the spectrum. I would highly recommend people consider getting a smaller size when buying one as I think these run bigger and for over $60 each might as well get a belt you will use for a longer period of time.

This helped a lot after my c-section. I started wearing it a few days after surgery and I’m so glad I bought this. For those wondering about what size to order, I waited until after my c-section, then measured my stomach so I could buy the right size. I found the sizing charts to be accurate when I did this. The belly bandit really helped to support all of the “extra” that was there post partum. I was back in my regular size jeans within a couple of weeks, which was amazing. It also helped prevent my jeans from rubbing on c-section incision. I wore it pretty low on my hips to keep it from sliding up, which they also recommend for c-section moms.
I do agree that you may need to get more than one size… which I think just means the belly bandit is working! I just stayed with the medium that I bought, but I probably could have also purchased a small for even better results. As the medium got more roomy on me, it was harder to close it and have it lay completely flat. But if that’s because my stomach was shrinking, I’m not complaining!
