Entry from: Chiang Mai, Thailand Entry Title: “Chiang Mai is incredible!” Entry: “Despite a tropical depression for 2 days in the dry season, Chiang Mai has been amazing. Yesterday I spent the day at the Elephant Nature Park (elephantnaturefoundation.org). One woman has single handedly developed this and taken on the job of rescuing the elephants. She has 32 of them. The babies are adorable. We got to feed them and bathe them in the river. We learned so much. It is such a contradiction in the way they treat the elephants. On one hand they are sacred but on the other hand they torture them to train them and mistreat them. 40% of the babies die during the training. The stories we heard were just heartbreaking. Tell anyone you know coming to Thailand not to ride the elephants. The street begging is even worse. Many of the poor elephants go insane. They are very sensitive to vibrations in their feet and can sense them for long distances. The noise and traffic stress and terrify them. I have so many pictures. Today in the rain I want to the temple on the hill, Doi Sothep. It was gorgeous but it was so rainy and foggy, ther was no view and normally all of Chaing Mai can be seen. I met 3 women on the trip. Did you know that wednesday is the most depressing day of the week? Most people think that it is Monday but it is actually wednesday. Aaaaaaaaanyway, i thought i would remind you or inform new subscribers that i cannot look glamorous every day, (i is ugly!) especially on days when i got up late so only had 30 mins to get ready. I am going to go for a nap after i upload this. In this vlog i talk about how the shop keeper did not want to fix my bike (chain keeps coming off) or take my money , i had to beg him to even show me what he had for sale, humpf. Then i had the joy of seeing a lady egnore, snap at and drag her child without warning when he wasn’t being naughty. I could tell he had no malice within him. Things like that make me want to adopt. I don’t express it well but hopefully through doing these vlogs my communication skills will improve again. when i say selfish mums, i mean the ones that ignore the kids while they spend ages looking at make up etc.. while the child cries (say.. because they need the toilet etc.. or people that take babies out in the sun so they burn). I once saw a lady almost abusing a girl by squashing against her deliberately (pushing her into t he bar of the pushchair she was standing up on) cos she was crying. I didn’t know what to do. Anyway it was good to hear from an old friend. Especially one i have had so many good times with. I hope i stop myself from making the same mistakes again. What do you want to see more of? Why the dislikes!? If you’ve got a problem then tell me what it is, disliking a video doesn’t help anyone. Lunging clips from AGES ago, ridden clips all from today:L FIRSTLY A RANT, BEFORE I GET SHOT;P… Jimmy has NOT got a back problem, he is NOT dying;) He is a baby, this is what babies do. I know he’s fine, because he’ll gallop along the headlands no problem & canter round on the right rein & jump like an angel… he struggles on the left rein & i was asking him to do a smaller circle than he normally does, so he found it hard. I only smacked him WHEN he bucked, he must learn he can’t do that, i let it go the first few times but otherwise he’ll get in to bad habits. NO CRIT on my riding either please, i know i look awful, but i’m unbalanced enough let alone when he’s bucking;) Ok, so tbh the bucking isn’t that bad at all especially because he’s so small;P i wish i got yesterday on footage though!! It was his first time hacking out with minnie & we went for a canter… well minnie went for a canter, Jimmy went for a flat out gallop to keep up:’P (mum was riding minnie). It was actually going really well, Jimmys first proper gallop then he got a bit full of himself & decided he’d drop his head & launch himself in to about 5 HUGE bucky leap things:’) i was clinging on for dear life:P It would have looked wicked in slow motion… DOH;) Minnie & Jimmy video coming soon (mainly minnie tbh) with quite a few updates:) PLEASE PLEASE dont make this video in to some crit fest …
