This gate is very easy to assemble and looks really good. Sadly for me, my Boston Terrier puppy- only 9lbs- is already able to climb over it. Only if you have a very, very small dog should you buy a 20 inch high gate. The photos of a full grown Collie relaxing by something of this height is very deceptive! My guess is that Collie casually stepped over the gate straight after the photo shoot.

I bought the large freestanding gate earlier this summer in order to block off a large opening between my kitchen and family room. It’s easy to step over and to move out of the way. My puppy has learned to stay behind the gate and doesn’t even attempt to go over it even though he could. I was a bit disappointed to see the current price on Amazon. I bought it from Amazon for around 99 dollars. It looks as though the price has gone up quite a bit. I think this must be a popular item right now with pet owners. I have seen it at Coscto online recently for 89! Deal or no deal this is the gate to get.

We purchased this for our two shelties, age 14 weeks and 2 years. We have a wide opening to block so the size is great. My only complaint, however, is that a smart resourceful dog will figure out how to move this. It only took my 2 year old sheltie 5 minutes. He would simply stick his nose in between the bars & nudge it out of the way. We found a way to secure it so he couldn’t move it but it may be only a matter of time. Once our puppy is housetrained, the gate will be history. Well made though and the price was the best I could find for this gate.

I ordered one of these gates to fit a large opening (68″) between the foyer and living room. Prior to ordering this gate I was using ugly, plastic garden fencing to keep my little dogs out of the living area. This gate looks terrific. It was easy to put the pieces together. It’s sturdy and I was so pleased I ordered 3 more to block the dogs from other areas of the house. It’s very easy to step over, too.

Probably wouldn’t work for large dogs or hyper little dogs that jump. But my little dogs see the gate and walk off and ignore it.

I recieved this as a gift. We have a very open floor plan with stairs. Not a kid friendly house. This gate has allowed me to block off wide openings so I can keep my 8 mo. old child in the living room, as part of the family, and not in a pen. It’s great! It’s also sturdy enough that he pulls himself up with it and it doesn’t slip or turn over.

I actually use it on my 2 year old daughter’s crib. We removed the front side of the crib to get her used to sleeping in a regular bed style before we buy an actual twin bed. It’s a little long for a crib and doesn’t leave much room for her to get in and out, but still leaves just enough room for her to still manage it. I wish the metal part at the sides had some covering as that part doesn’t look so nice, but it’s a great affordable bed guard option, especially since it can work on the crib and then be moved to a twin. Was easy to put together and easy to use.

We got this for our 5-year old daughter because she has a very tall bed, and we worried about her getting hurt if she ever fell out. One side of the bed is flush to a wall, so we needed something like this for the open side. Under “Product Features” it says this “assembles in less than 5 minutes”, and for a wonder, it really does. It attached securely to a full-size bed, and we haven’t had a problem. It feels substantial enough that we don’t worry about it at all. And it’s pink, so our daughter actually likes it. This one is well worth the money.

This was very easy to put together and thanks to the people that mentioned that they had used it on a toddler bed, I gave it a try. It works great! There isn’t a lot of space for my daughter to go in an out, but she can manage without complaining. She loves how soft it is. It looks pretty. I put 4 stars because for some reason it doesn’t angle at 90 degrees… it’s more like 80. I don’t know if this is in purpose.

Good product, suffices for what we were looking for. Was easy to fix and folds down easily. Only thing, can’t get the zipper for the covering to close.

Review by E. Mayfield for Summer Infant Plush n’ Pink Single Bedrail
    Rating:
I chose this bedrail because it doesn’t look so “hospital like”. It is plush, pink, and has cute decorative accents embroidered on it. I believe it made the transition to a big girl bed easier for my daughter. It is very safe and easy to put up and down once it is on the bed.

I didn’t give this product a 5 star review because it was really hard for me to put together, and I was furious when I finally finished. It is well worth it when it’s put together, though.
