For Father’s Day this year we setup a day at home of fishing and golfing. I bought two different toy fishing sets. This one, and another one.
Let me say that this was amazing!!
The fish is battery operated and actually swims around the pool when it’s turned on. You actually have to take the time to catch it just right in order to hook it. As you reel in the fish the pole bends just a tiny bit – like in real life!
My dad (and all of the rest of the family) loved playing with this. Even my 21 year old brother was went out after dinner to take a turn.

The rod is little too small compare to size of the fish. The rod is only about 18 inches long. The fish is real fun in and out of water. You can use the fish on other rods if you can attach the bait. I would recommand this to anyone who wants to introduce fishing to their youngsters.

My son was so excited about this toy when he got it. I had read the reviews that the pole was low quality and too small and almost purchased a different rod to go with the fish. I am still considering that option.
My son loves to play with the pole to pick up other metal objects.
He likes playing with the fish in the bathtub too. He loves the way it flops like a real fish on the line. But, I often have to hold the end of the rod upright so he can pick up the fish — in other words, the weight of the fish bends the rod significantly.

I bought this for my 3 year old daughter and she loves it. Uses it in the bath tub. The toy is well made and durable. The size of the fish is a bit large for the pole but it works fine.
