I’ve fought off a gazillion mosquitoes to rescue this baby that’s far to young to fledge. I built a nest from a cat food box. I fought off the vines and tree branches. Now if Mr. C doesn’t just keep nagging about me chasing down the baby that was on the ground he can take over from here. No mother in sight and he’s not doing a great job either since the other baby is also out of the nest but hanging on to branches. At least they’re both off the ground and in the same group of trees.
Hard to believe that if it makes it this bird will be so beautiful. Not even a hint of the beauty of the cardinal.
