My Latest Betta Fries!!! 30-Nov-2010
My homebred male betta T-cee… a dad at 5 months old!!! Congratulations!!! He is a very good dad. He did not injure the female much. However, I think he does not like a big spawn as he drove the female away eventhough she still got a lot of eggs to lay. Well, T-cee is still very young anyway & his achievement is impressive enough for me. He will be one of my best breeders like my old blue B-cee, I’ve no doubt about it! He is unlike his dad B-cee that is so laid back when caring for babies. He used to be a red/lavender butterfly but soon he shed all the shades of red, making his colour white with splashes of indigo. Up to this day, I’m not sure how or why that happened. Anyway, a red spot was left on top of his head, which looks like a third eye, and so I named him T-cee (“T” for Triclops). He got a brother with the same marking on the head but it is blue/black, and so I named him 3-cee. And, in case you are wondering why my bettas’ names got “cee” at the end, it is because my wife’s name starts with a “C” and this is my way of honouring her… not that she’s like a fighting fish, if you know what I mean!
