my cousin’s baby William, such a little clown. Not really a lemon pic, but I was trying to take a picture of the curls on the back of his head. he turned around and started laughing right as I took this. kind of an accident, but it’s become one of my favorites.

One of the many pictures from my first maternity shoot, actually my first portrait shoot period. A couple of good friends asked me if I could take some maternity shots for them, and I agreed. It was a bit scary considering I never shot any "studio" like pictures.

I purchased a 3 piece lighting kit by Smith Victor and a black backdrop. I took the shots and played with them on PS. I then used all these pictures to publish a 11.5 x 15 inch magazine style book and presented it as a gift for her baby shower.

I really enjoyed portrait work, and was actually surprised at the way some of the shots turned out… c.c is welcome!

OK, first picture with my sorta-not-new 70-300mm lens, taken while waiting around at Orlando International. Now I had a decision between that and the 70-200mm L-series (as everyone seems to), but this picture pretty much sums up why I went with former: low-light situation indoors, no tripod, but I got the handy-dandy Image Stabilizer to save me. Plus the white L-series just screams annoying paparazzo/terrorist.

Just a little contribution to the fascination that is children these days, I mean who knew laughing babies were so fun?

Giant antetears use to carry their babies on their back for the first months. I could photography it in the zoo of Zürich even if it was quite difficult, because the mother was moving a lot and was quite far away.

I was sick with a cold and sleeping. Somehow baby Finn ended up on my chest for an extended multi-hour snuggle session, which was much enjoyed by all concerned … including the cat the snuck up between my knees.
