Entry from: Khao Sok , Thailand Entry Title: “Khao Sok and Cheow Lan Lake” Entry: “Getting to Khao Sok was easy by public bus, with only one change at Takua Pa. A quick toilet stop there almost turned into a comedy when the bus was beginning to take off with my backpack but without me. Oh well, had all the locals on the bus smiling and nodding at the falang. After being dropped off at the highway, I got a tuk tuk into the village with Nung House touts and settled for one of their 200 baht concrete bungalows. Nothing special but, while there were some beautiful treetop bungalows around the place, it seemed pointless to pay the extra money when in all likelihood I would only be in them to sleep. Arts River Lodge looked great, with its restaurant balcony overlooking the Monkey Swimming Pool where macaques cavort most of the day. I did get up for the sunrise one morning to watch them make their way down the karst cliffs and to the pool for a wake-up swim. Great to watch all the babies and juveniles carrying on like … well, naughty monkeys. Khao Sok National Park gets great reviews in all the travel guides but one thing they fail to say is that a guide is highly recommended – I spent 2 hours on two occasions following very scratchy trails to waterfalls, only to have to give up and retrace my steps … Video Rating: 0 / 5

We visited a traditional Masai village in the Masai Mara, which is in fact a touristic attraction, with admittance fee, and then someone is explaining facts in English, they sell crafted objects, dance and sing, and we can see the inside of a house. Here are three woman and a baby, in traditional clothing.
