WATCH VID FIRST !! — Song: www.youtube.com —- *Nicks POV* I was so happy when Selena kissed me back, that meant that she still loved me or still has feelings for me, we are together again. But all my dreams shattered when she said I shouldnt have done that. I really was speechless. “But I wanted to.. I love you.” I finally whispered after a while. “I know you do, but.. I, I…” she now started to cry hysterically and I held her tight “Shh, its okay.” I whispered. “No its not, Nick. You shouldnt have done that. Youll only make this harder then it already is. In the end, it will be you that is hurting. I dont want to leave you behind, I dont want to set your hopes up to high.” She started to shake because she was crying so much and I really wanted to calm her down, but I couldnt. “You wont leave me behind, I said it before, you WILL win this battle. We could get married, have a lot of babies. Just think about it, wasnt this all you dreamt about?” I stroked her hair and she put her head on my chest. She took deep breaths, but it couldnt calm her down. “You are right, I always dreamt of it. But I didnt wanted it to be like this, I dont want to have this illness in my body when all of that happens. I dont even know how many time I have left to be here, with you.” She sat up and she was red from anger. “Why did you come back now, Nick? I waited two years for you! You come back now when I have to face all of this! Why do you even bother when you know Im going to die?! I just …

In this 3D computer animated feature, a pull-string cowboy doll is the leader of the toys until the latest, greatest action figure enters the picture. When the toy rivals are separated from thei rowner, they ultimately learn to put aside their differences and work as a team to get back home to the boy they love. There is greatness in film that can be discussed, dissected, and talked about late into the night. Then there is genius that is right in front of our faces–we smile at the spell it puts us into and are refreshed, and nary a word needs to be spoken. This kind of entertainment is what they used to call “movie magic,” and there is loads of it in this irresistible computer animation feature. Just a picture of these bright toys reawaken the kid in us. Filmmaker John Lasseter thinks of himself as a storyteller first and an animator second, much like another film innovator, Walt Disney.
Lasseter’s story is universal and magical: what do toys do when they’re not played with? Cowboy Woody (voiced by Tom Hanks), Andy’s favorite bedroom toy, tries to calm the other toys (some original, some classic) during a wrenching time of year–the birthday party, when newer toys may replace them. Sure enough, Space Ranger Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) is the new toy that takes over the throne. Buzz has a crucial flaw, though–he believes he’s the real Buzz Lightyear, not a toy. Lasseter further scores with perfect voice casting, including Don Rickles as Mr. Potato Head and Wallace Shawn as a meek dinosaur. The director-animator won a special Oscar for “the development and inspired application of techniques that have made possible the first feature-length computer-animated film.” In other words, the movie is great. –Doug Thomas

Published over 50 years ago, The Story of Ferdinand is one of the bestselling children’s books of all time, and the bull who preferred sitting under the cork tree and smelling flowers to fighting has become a hero to generations of children.
What else can be said about the fabulous Ferdinand? Published more than 50 years ago (and one of the bestselling children’s books of all time), this simple story of peace and contentment has withstood the test of many generations. Ferdinand is a little bull who much prefers sitting quietly under a cork tree– just smelling the flowers–to jumping around, snorting, and butting heads with other bulls. This cow is no coward–he simply has his pacifist priorities clear. As Ferdinand grows big and strong, his temperament remains mellow, until the day he meets with the wrong end of a bee. In a show of bovine irony, the one day Ferdinand is most definitely not sitting quietly under the cork tree (due to a frightful sting), is the selfsame day that five men come to choose the “biggest, fastest, roughest bull” for the bullfights in Madrid.
Ferdinand’s day in the arena gives readers not only an education in the historical tradition of bullfighting, but also a lesson in nonviolent tranquility. Robert Lawson’s black-and-white drawings are evocative and detailed, with especially sweet renditions of Ferdinand, the serene bull hero. The Story of Ferdinand closes with one of the happiest endings in the history of happy endings–readers of all ages will drift off to a peaceful sleep, dreaming of sweet-smelling flowers and contented cows.
